Heward Estate 'Mannum Cliffs' wine
collection.
What you will find on this page is a brief introduction to our 'Mannum
Cliff's collection of 'Heward Estate' wines from the Murray River region in South Australia.
As with all wine sales, it is difficult to put in words the taste sensation you receive when sampling different
wines. As the internet does not YET facilitate for Taste and Smell, we will describe our different wine types the
best we can. Nothing of course comes close to sitting back and pouring a glass of wine so we invite you to take us
up on our offer for a Sample Bottle of Heward Estate Wine. Head over to our Cellar Door page and follow the prompts
to receive a bottle or two with your mail.

The 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon grape created this elegant, very smooth
drinking wine. The winemaker has once again done an outstanding job in keeping the fruit flavours
from the vine, intact in the bottle.
After the first year of a severe drought the crop was much reduced
but the flavours intensified into this wine, which has earthy blackcurrant tones with raspberry,
light cherry and a hint of mint. This deliberate soft blend allows these petite fruit flavours to
be fully enjoyed.
You will not be disappointed with this Cabernet
Sauvignon.

Chardonnay grapes make stunning wine. It has refreshing yet
complex flavours that suit our climate perfectly. Our Chardonnay has a touch of oak which adds
another dimension to the wine without concealing the great chardonnay fruit flavours.
Since 2007 our Chardonnay crop was down, however flavour was well
and truly up. After 12 months in the bottle it has turned into a fantastic, fruit driven
Chardonnay.
This Chardonnay has stone fruit, melon and integrated fine oak
characteristics.

Shiraz is considered the king of
Australian Reds for a very good reason. The 2007 Shiraz is a great example of what excellent grapes
and tender loving care during the winemaking process can achieve. The dark colour of this Shiraz
contains plenty of ripe plum and mulberry flavours with hints of mocha and spice.
Sit down with a T-Bone and enjoy Australia’s famous red
grape.

Rosé can be made out of most red grape varieties and this one is
made out of our Shiraz. Shiraz makes a great Rosé and this one is a stunner.
It gets the name from the winemaking process of removing contact
with the skins to reduce the colour and heavy tannin's however all the fruit flavour is in the
bottle. It is overflowing with fruits such as plum, raspberry and cherry and is slightly sweet.
Served chilled it is perfect for our Mediterranean climate and it is lower in alcohol than the
other wines in our range.

This is not a New Zealand Savvy Blanc nor does
is set out to be.
It is a unique NEW experimental blend we have been perfecting
for a couple of years. Deliberately made, to be a very
light style wine perfect to help you relax on those warm summer days friends tell us that for
some reason it tastes best when consumed by the river or the beach. We believe it’s just the
perfect drop to have at any time you need something light and refreshing.
You will find it has fantastic tropical and
stone fruit characteristics, very herbaceous with a hint of sweetness. The cool ripening period of early 2011 had a great influence in creating
this fruit driven classic variety. Try some!
