The Heward Family first began growing wine grapes in the soldier settlement blocks of Monash after the First World War. In the late 1990’s the family enterprise expanded to the river valley near Mannum, the birthplace of the river trading paddle steamers. Warm days combined with the regular cool evening breezes create our unique wines.

Mannum is only an hours drive from Metropolitan Adelaide, and while Heward Estate only sell their wine on site on special occasions, their wine is available from all local liquor outlets in Mannum.   You can enjoy their wine while enjoying what this special historic riverside town has to offer.
